Thoughts of VBS today may stir up anxiety in churches with small budgets, due to the elaborate themes and expensive cost of many of the programs available. Well have no fear! This author has developed an affordable, workable, and exciting VBS program that saves you money and still effectively engages today s children in learning about God s Word and applying it to their lives.

This is one of several volumes available. Each volume offers one week (actually four days) of VBS games, crafts, brief puppet shows, skits, pictures/puzzles, and Bible teaching all related to a fun theme.With a small congregation of 80, the authors were able to conduct successful VBS with a staff of 4 to 6 adults, and a group of 40 to 50 kids!

Jesus Is the Rock is based on the theme verse Matthew 7:24. The objective is for children to grasp the concept of what it means to make Jesus the foundation of their lives, so when trials come they will not be shaken. A Theme Station includes testimony time where visitors will share testimonies and children may ask questions. This week s Bible Station is called The Parable Place and covers The Wise and Foolish Man, The Parable of the Sower, The Parable of the Good Samaritan, and the Story of Nicodemus. Each day s crafts and games are related to the rock theme.
