The Common English Bible and Hatch Show Print have partnered to bring you a new series of text Bibles with inspirational covers. Completed in 2011, the Common English Bible is a fresh translation of the Bible. One hundred and twenty biblical scholars from twenty-two faith traditions worked as translators. In addition, members of seventy-seven reading groups from congregations throughout North America reviewed and responded to early drafts. These women and men represent the sorts of diversity that permit this new translation to speak to people of various religious convictions and social locations. The CEB translators have balanced rigorous accuracy in rendition of ancient texts with an equally passionate commitment to clarity of expression in English. The translators have created sentences and chosen vocabulary that is readily understood when the text is read aloud.

For much of the 20th century, Hatch's vibrant posters served as advertising for Southern entertainment from Grand Ole Opry concerts to magic shows, from baseball games to B-movies. Each Hatch Show Print poster is a unique creation, individually handcrafted and inked onto paper. This process, known as letterpress, involves inking hand-carved wood blocks and metal photo plates and type that are then pressed onto paper to form an image. Hatch Show Print has long been a downtown Nashville landmark and the guardian of a very special piece of Americana. The art for these Bible covers will continue in this long tradition.
